Very nice.
A few questions:
1. Time it took to complete the entire project?
2. Money spent to complete the entire project?
3. It looks like a pure dragstrip car, but I figured I'd ask what kind of milage that engine gets?
4. What's the deal with your passenger side door? Looks like it is misaligned and ajar.
Once again, great car! I'd love to have a Pontiac-powered third gen bird.

Well lets see.....
1. About 2 1/2 years.
2. To much that I dont want to think about. But how can you put a pricetag on fun.
3. Its a Dragstrip car, but can be made street legal. It only has a 5 gallon Aluminum fuel cell.
4. Car use to be a base model Firebird with a 2.8 V-6. I did my best to make a T/A Clone. As far as alignment on the door ground effect..... thats what I get for letting someone else help out.

5 gal fuel cell = 2 passes. I remember flooring my 77 T/A w/the 400 and watching the gas gauge move down.
Those valve covers cost more than what I paid for my car initially.
Did you get the stroker kit from Jim Butler, IA, Rock-N-Roll engineering?

I can get 3 passes off 5 gallons. And yes I got the Stroker Kit from Jim Butler Performance.

Is that an SSM kit I see under there? That would explain the massive air under the front end!!
Very nice,

the guy in the camaro in this picture is still running stock style stuff...so the SSM bars are not the only things that will work like that!

Yes that is a South Side Machine Lift Bar Kit under my car. It really helps plant them slicks to the ground.
As far as the camaro guy, seems like a little to much nitrous on the second stage. That breaks to many parts.

Looks great jabird00.
My son has the same set-up currently residing in a 1971 Lemans Sport. It's slated to go into a 1987 IROC Z/28. We'd like to pick your brain on such things as headers, what you're doing for an alternator, etc. Maybe some additional pictures.

You're running the Super Victor/4500 intake right? Could you tell me the distance from the top of the carb flange to the top edge of the firewall? Trying to get some idea what the clearance will be on my 455 swap, since I'm going to run the same basic intake only with an elbow and EFI. Great job, thanks!!!
