v6-v8 swap ENGINE IS IN NEED HELP FAST

I have a 91 camaro Rs that had a v6 engine in it
i got a 350 tpi tranny wiring harness and cpu from a 87 gta
have it in the car everything bolted down and what not... everything lined up.. now im guessin i have wiring issue....
the moment of truth came.. i put the key in.. turn.. and nothin.. not even a turn over..
The fuel pump did not turn on.. the engine turns over with a push button(just to see if starter works.. and it does!) fuel pump i know works i just drove it the other day and its not even a year old.
i have the chip in my key as most of you probably do.. does that have to do with the old cpu? or that doesnt matter??
uumm any help would be great... what differs??? wiring harness not right?? anything!!!!! im so close
oh and the engine ran sweet when it was in the gta so i know it ran!! i helped the guy pull it and everything..
has to be something stupid or easy or wiring... i hope
anything would be great!!

Well when i did my swap i had alot of problems with my wiring harness. The v6 harness has their pins located in different spots etc. The only way your going to find out what goes where is compare two diagrams which i had to do which deff was not easy... You can compare the wiring color on the old harness where the block goes (drivers side) and just match the colors up by taking the pins out and moving them so they match up. That will be one of many things that i had a problem with.

As far as i know they do not make a harness from swaping from a v6 to a v8 for a thirdgen camaro or firebird. I could be wrong... You need to back-track with wiring diagrams alldata etc and figure out where the starter wires go etc. The v6 to v8 swap is pretty straight forward but wiring is the hard part. I think their are some wiring diagrams on this site somewhere. The diagram your looking for would be the starter ciruit....
