accessory mounting on older heads?
i've built what i hope to be a torquey 406 with 882 heads (i know nobody likes them, but they were what i could afford at the time of the build. i did get the valves hogged out to 2.02/1.6 tho). i finally got the engine back from storage now that i have a garage, and have been looking at old and new motors side-by-each. here is the problem:
the engine is going in to an a/c serpentine equipped car, and it appears that i'm lacking an accessory mounting hole on the pass side head. is this something i can just drill and tap or am i going to have to disassemble or am i going to have to pitch these heads and get something else?
the cam is a Crane Powermax 2040 210/216 .440/.454 114*LSA with a 9.6:1 c/r. the engine won't see much over 5 grand as it's main purpose is a strong daily driver. thoughts?

Re: accessory mounting on older heads?
on the pass side where the a/c compressor and idler pulley mount, it looks very much like i have 2 bolts going into the head - the 882's have only the upper/outer hole, not one by the front corner near the front intake manifold bolt.
do you know if the serp setup has one bolt on the pass head or two?
it's not like i have the car torn apart and need the engine in tomorrow or anything - i have other work to do before the swap, but i kinda hoped the engine was done. if i need head work or new heads, the time is now on the stand, not once it's in the car trying to get things hooked up, if you know what i mean...

The alternator bracket uses 3 bolt holes in the driver side head, and the A/C compressor/smog pump bracket uses 1 hole in the passenger side head.
