is this a L98?
1st i don't know if this is the correct section to be posting....
anyways i am thinking about buying a engine but the owner dosn't know much about. he says he pulled it from a camaro but dosn't know the year. all he knows it is a 350. the block casting he have sent me where 14093638. i did do some reserch and it looks like it is a TPI motor that looks to be 87-95. my guestion is "is this a L98?" is this the one w/ 250Hp and 345Lb tq? thanks any help would be great!

We need the specs off the heads, as the blocks could be used in trucks or other cars.
The 350 TPI iron heads would have part number 14101083.

All the more reason for you to check the head casting #'s.
Wouldn't hurt to take a gander at the lifter valley, either.

It could be a '93-up truck or crate engine.
My 638 block started off life as a ZZ3 crate engine. They were also used in LO5's, which in trucks didn't have roller lifters.
So, the block casting # tells you a 350, but doesn't tell you much beyond that.
