Re: 350 swap?
Hey guys I really need your help. Ive posted every where but I guess you guys have heard this story a million times. I have a 85 transam tpi and i just dropped a new 87camaro 350 crate motor in her. I need some advice from someone thats done this swap before to let me know what needs to be changed from the original 305 setup to better benefit my 350's performance. I feel like somethings holding her back. Please help a fellow firebird lover out

(Moving this to a new thread because it doesn't have anything to do with the thread you posted it in.)
The '85 TPI ECM wasn't their best effort. If you get one from an '86-'88, or specifically '87-'88 L98 (350), that would be the first improvement.
The 350 PROM was tuned slightly different from the 305. If you get a '86-'88 LB9 ECM, put a 350 PROM in it.
The 350 used 22 lb injectors vs. the 19 lb 305 injectors.
The knock sensor and module were different from 305 to 350.
That's basically it. What would improve it from there depends upon the exact 350 you put in.

Re: 350 TPI swap?
FiveSeven, is there a sticky/ tech article on this swap? I have a 91 tpi car that i just went from 305 to 350 with and it's not running quite right, for what seems to be obvious reasons at this point. The exact solution isnt so obvious though.
MAP system... 350 PROM(chip only?) swap. grey colored (19lb?) injectors needs 22lb? Knock sensor swap. Ignition Module swap?
First upgrades if it still isn't fast enough?
Headers and full exhaust?
Intake mod's first?
My head's spinnin and im wishin i spent a few extra bucks on nicer heads, lower intake and cam.
