Hey,

Yea, so im pulling my engine as we speak. Its supposed to rain in a little bit. everything is detached.. or at least i think.

We have the engine mounts detached, and we have the bellhousing bolts out of the belhousing.. Is there anyhting major we are missing?

Any advice? Should it pull right up? It is pulling the whole body up

Are the mounts unbolted from the frame or the engine?

You'll hafta pull the engine a little forward, as the torque converter/clutch is still on the flywheel & the input shaft of the tranny in in gthe pilot bearing of the torque converter/clutch.

yes the mounts are unbolted from the frame but when we try to lift the engine the whole car starts to lift with it

Are you plling forward THEN up? If not, the input shaft of the tranny is still in the crankshaft & the body is being lifted bythe tranny mount...BAD!

If the radiator is out, it'll give you more room to pull forward. Besides, you don't wana damage the radiator fins.

Be sure to support the tranny from underneath! Or you'll risk snapping the bellhousing. Besides, the weighgt of the tranny will prevent the engine from moving forward, becauseof the input shaft.

everything is disconnected. engine is free from frame, but engine is still pulling on tranny when engine is lifted.

what should we do?

Is it a manual or auto? And you have all of the bolts out of the bell housing including the one on the top that is hard to get to?

stick somthing on your tranny and then pull your engine out. when the motor is loose, the trns and the motor interlock and make it impoosible to pull out.

Perhaps it's too late, but it's easier to unbolt the transmission from the bellhousing with a manual transmission. And even easier yet to pull the engine and tranny together.
