My new 355 4 bolt main build

well i finally got everything to start my new build... its been almost 4 long months of saving up but its about to pay off now....... were gonna take the block and kit to the machine shop where they can do their work and my dad and i are going to build this thing from scratch in a couple of weeks..... i went with all top notch parts to ensure nothing will happen to this build... i went with a 4 bolt main block, new milodon main cap bolts, 4340 forged crank with upgraded h bearings, 5140 forged i beam rods with arp bolts, Keith Black Hyper pistons, heavy duty coated cam bearings, brass freeze plugs brand new melling oil pump, K&N oil filter, new Elgin lifters, GM hot cam, Heavy duty flywheel, new harmonic balancer, and all interally balanced within .2 grams of each other.. here are some pictures.... I will finally have a dependable super strong 355 engine.....

i forgot to mention i got my l98 heads up to task with the gm hot cam...



thanks man what do you have.... i already got a nice top end tho

here it is.....

Rebuilt Ported L98 heads with manely springs, retainers, screw in studs
GM HOT Cam
218/228 .492"/.492" 112 LSA
Comp Cams 1.5 roller tip rockers

Induction/Fuel Delivery:
Fully ported and Siamesed Plenum, egr walls grinded down
Fully Ported and Siamesed SLP Runners port matched to Plenum
Edelbrock Lightly Ported Highflow Intake
SLP's CAI with K&N air filter and SLP's special modded intake hoses
IAT relocated to SLP CAI box
48mm throttle body with Airfoil
SVO 24lb Injectors
Heated O2 sensor
Crane's AFPR set at 47psi

some edelbrock rpm heads, with vic jr. intake
went 10.8 n/a with those heads on pump gas. 3.73 gear 3800 stall
dana rear, hydrolic roller. 750 hp carb.

oh.. that is a bit much for a daily driver.... i wanted to stay with the stock "tpi" look... i guess you can say its kinda like a super l98 if i can call it that lol.....

aww man, i had to go a lil faster. have to, 500hp cars around here are no big deal had to step up to turbo lsx

well alot of people said that its not needed because it puts a lot of excess pressure on the distributor/cam gear and will wear that prematurely and something about it foaming and causing the oil pan to become dry or something like that........ so i just went with a regular oil pump.....
