Nice, man I looked forever for a car like that but never found one. It is all up to you what to do with it. What is your budget, do you want it to handle or just lay 200 feet of ruber. If this is your first rebuild estimate what it is going to cost you and multiply it by 2 (atleast). If you are going to put a lot of power in it you probibly will have to replace close to everything. atleast 10 grand worth. If you just want to get her running you could probibly get her running with a home made paintjob for less then 1000. Not a bad car for the price.

She is not the fastest thing in a straight line but she sure will stick in the turns.

I still cant believe that I found this thing. I wasnt even looking! Dumb luck I guess. I have had several people tell me that it is rare to find a 91-92 in good condition that needs a motor. You asked what I want to do with the car, well, I want this thing to be a sleeper. I want it to look for all the world like a stock rs, but I want it to have the ***** to light up these damned little ricers that infest this part of the country. I want them to think that it is an easy kill, then make them wish they had never f***ed with ANYTHING from Detroit!!!
I guess that I am a little harsh, but those are my goals for this car. Right now I am just going to drop in a 350 and play with it............but come01, Im going to start RICE BASHING!!!!!

Reduce the reciprocating weight in your V8 as much as possible! Rice motors rev up like motorcycle engines because of low rotating mass. Also, because the EPA standards are the same for all engines, ricers can come with free-flowing heads--stock. You'll have to get some good heads and be sure that your heads, cam, and manifolds work in the same RPM range! Don't half-*** mix-n-match.

Of course, there's no replacement for displacement! True case study: retired engineer who used to live near me had a 1977 ice blue Cadillac Sedan deVille sleeper. Bone stock ON THE OUTSIDE. It had a 500 CID tricked-out Cadillac V8, dual exhaust, killer TH400, hidden ram air, 3.54 rearend, and lightened it up without it showing. He destroyed Mustangs, Camaros, Chargers, and anything else that came his way. Consistent 12 second quarter-miler. Now THAT would be a way to humiliate a *****! Beat 'em with an old man's car! ;-)

I think DEEPSOUTH needs to chill out. Well, perhaps that stems from having a car that should be fast, but wasn't. My IROC is my first car and I've never lost to an import. I've got a little respect for the import crowd. DEEPSOUTH, it sounds like you're gonna kill someone 'cause they made a joke out of you.
