305 to 350 swap iroc-z
305 to 350 swap iroc-z
i have a 88 iroc z and i bought a long block 350 to take the place of the 305 that bit the dust. i have already put on the tpi setup, 24lb injectors that i was told had to be done for the swap. all the other bolt on stuff that came off the 305 is now on the 350 ready to drop in i think! is there anything else you guys can think of that i need to do before hooking up the wiring harness assing fluids and starting her up? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.
You don't "need" 24 lb injectors. 22 lb was stock for 350's from the factory.
350 knock sensor and module are typically recommended.
That's TBI, not TPI, but the "chip" is in the same location - the ECM, which is behind the dash above the passenger's feet.

Im actually taking out my 350 off my Iroc Z b/c it was a total LOST and im putting in a 305 that i got a really good deal for.. so far its almost done and i havent had to replace anything. So Im guessing it should be easy for u to throw that 350 in with out any problems..... Im gonna get my 350 BACK...

The knock sensor module is in the rear corner driver side of the engine compartment. It's about 3" square flat piece.
