Oil Pan Selection
I did a search but came up with no results.
Is there a thread on what oil pans work on the 3rd gens?
Specific Application: 1984 T/A with a 383 SBC
Hooker Super Comp Headers (1 3/4)

Is a deeper stock style pan my only option?
Thanks.

The "regular" pans work fine. You need to match the pan to your dip stick location and rear main seal type.
Deep pans reduce ground clearance. Kick-out pans get in the way of exhaust routing.
A 4-quart pan, good high pressure regular volume oil pump, and synthetic oil ("real" PAO synthetic, not the faux synthetics most companies offer) is all you need.
