what other camaro engines will fit in my 89 Rs

it was orinally a V8 305 TBI

what other camaro or corvette engines can i get

Any chevy big block or small block will fit with a little bit of work.
The problem is if you don't go to carbed you are looking at replacing the computer and harness if you go to a bigger motor or a different form of fuel injection.

being in California, you're a bit more limited due to the emissions regulations. You've got to go by the book moreso than the rest of us (which unfortunately means no big block zraffz)

They're going to be picky about what they see and what it puts out for exhaust, so you need to make sure anything you swap is CARB-certified

Axle/Gears: 12B-3.73/9"-3.89
'89-later B-body (Caprice, Roadmaster, etc.) are also legal.

Basically, has to be a passenger car engine '89-later, with all of the emissions equipment that came with the car from which the engine comes (or, as stated, CARB-certified replacement parts).
