My best friend has just challenged me. He has just bought a 5-speed cobra mustang and i've got a stock 1990 RS auto 305 LO3 engine. Before i start doing mods on my L03 does anyone have any ideas of a motor swap i could do? Should i upgrade to something bigger or stick with what i've got?

 

It's hard for a 305 to beat any mustang. Before you go engine swapping, how much money do you intend to spend. A simple 350 crate engine is a big improvement.

 

I was thinking about maybe getting a 350 crate engine but how much would that cost? Money isn't really an issue right now i rather spend money on getting a better engine to start with than spending it on a lot of mods.

 

what year cobra. There is 100HP differance between certain years.

I'm thinking of an LS1 w/ supercharger, which is the baddest engine of all.
