stupid question but just checking
found a pretty good deal on a 350 but its out of a pontiac. Im 99% sure it will still bolt right up to my 700r4 but just wanna check before i buy it.

What year Pontiac? Pontiac stopped making their own motors in the late 1970's.

better double check old ponty motors had different paterns than smallblock chevys

its out of a 69 according the numbers i pulled off the back of the motor.

A 350 in 1969 Pontiac will most likely be a Pontiac engine in which case the bellhousing will be different. But some of those old Pontiacs had Chevy engines in them. Easy way to tell is Pontiac has an aluminum timing cover, Chevy uses stamped cover and the water pump attaches to the engine at two points on either side of the cover.
