pulling cam problem

pulling cam problem

im pulling the cam in my 327 and when im pulling it out i can only get it out about 4 lobes before it catches and will not come any further... wondering what it could be because ive been trying for awhile now and cant figure it out??

it was actually the pin from the fuel pump that was making it stick!! thanks though
and now that its how, how do i tell what it is?? there weren markings saying what it was just some stamped on the end.... but no comp cams or name on it......

Post every marking you can find on it and maybe we can tell what it used to be.

200429-stamped on the back
1539 CWC- on shaft above gear (1539 and CWC are on opposite sides of the shaft)
D 8 is under the gear (on same side as 1539)
C 8/3 (couldnt tell if it was an 8 or 3, but that is stamped under CWC underneath the gear)
On top of the shaft it looked like B O and then on the opposite side of that is and upside down 17
