Help decide which 5.7?

I want to start saving up for a new engine block. I prefer a 5.7. I currently have a 305 tbi in my 1990 RS. It has 147k miles in it so far. Its my daily driver. I plan on swapping it once it hits 200k or if I save up enough money before this point than I will swap it earlier.
I need advice on what engine would be the best way to go, and also if you guys can give me an estimate price.
I would really apriciate it.
Im 23 years old go to school and have a part-time job hopefully ill be able to save up the money soon.

This is what I used for my build. 1 year and no problems.

Thanks man. Seems good and i can also put my own performance parts in it since its not fully built. A mini ram would go great on it.

That is a good question. It will be tempered by this: "San Fernando Valley".

Re: Help decide which 5.7?

Yes. Recon rods and cast slugs. Plenty good for a low RPM TPI build. I dunno' about a Miniram as those usually go 6K+ RPM to make power.
