350 Decoding

Okay so I have done a lot of researching and haven't found what I'm looking for. I know the casting 3970010 is very common, but I don't know what these numbers mean. Sorry guys hate to post another one of these but I have tried and failed. Can anyone tell me what they mean?

Re: 350 Decoding

They don't decode to anything particular, if that's what you mean. It's just a number used to identify the casting.

Ohh... nevermind, didn't see your thumbnail. Those don't tell you anything useful. You can look those up to tell you what vehicle the car was originally used in, which is pretty worthless information 35 years later.
