Serpentine system
Looking to get a new serpentine system. Also have a 350 vortec crate that is going to be going in shortly. It came with a long water pump. Anybody have any issues installing a serpentine system with a long water pump or maybe someone can recommend a serpentine system they have bought. I'm pretty new to the serpentine setup.

Either go raid a crashed '87-'92 Camaro, or waste huge money on the street-rod stuff from March.

I pieced mine together from craigslist, did it pretty cheap too. Had to put in some time cleaning up parts but way better than $600+ for March stuff.

Re: Serpentine system
Since every water pump has been "long" since about 1969 in every kind of car except the Vette, and since about 1973 in that, it's a safe bet that any serpentine system you get (unless it's an aftermarket one specifically specified for the "short" WP in which case it would be REALLY unusual) will fit a "long" one.
If I was where you are right now, I'd be more focused on whether the WP is for clockwise (V-belt) or counter-clockwise (serpentine) rotation. "Long" isn't the issue.
Not knowing what your car is, it's entirely possible that your stock stuff will just bolt right up and go.

Re: Serpentine system
Another option from Craigslist is to look in the classified section here. I found mine at a very fair price even after adding in the cost of shipping. It wieghs a bit and shipping actually ran about 45-50 dollars. I have only seen one setup close to me and it was priced over $100. It was long gone (scrapped) when I had the money and also had finally found a motor.
