5.0 Fox Body Swap?
Not that I have any interest in doing it but was just curious if anyone has saw a 5.0 Mustang motor swapped into a 3rd gen?

Seems like a waste to me. People put SBCs into Fords for a reason.

I've seen lots of hybrid swaps and the most common is to use a GM engine. The ford 302 is much better than the chev 305 but the 350+ SBC is even better.

If you can get an early 302, they have forged factory pistons. The 350 SBC is by far the easier of the two to build with a plethora of aftermarket support and parts available.

Foxbody's like to go fast in a straight line. They are small & a little bit lighter (about 200 pounds) vs the V8 F-body counterparts. People like to use them for drag cars and from what I understand they are cheap & fast.

And you can get a bolt in 8.8 for dirt cheap in fox body. Tons of parts really cheap for them.

None of which has THE LEAST connection with putting a Windsor motor in a GM car.
I can make a REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY long list of ways to waste time and money, while ending up with something less than the worst of any of the things I started out with. I'll have to add this idea to it. Kind of like the old pre-email list of proposed "continuing education" courses you could take at your local urban university:

We do have the guy that put the turbo ford motor into his firebird. Very good thread. outlaw 10.5 motor I think, or used to be. Too lazy to look it up

I followed that thread for a while. Great build and the car is insanely fast. I think it was an 88 or 89 blue Formula
