Swapping to tbi 350

I already read the sticky about switching from 305 to 350.

What I actually need help with is purchasing a 350. What to look for an such.

I already have 4.10 gear ratio in the rear.

What I'm trying to do is build a daily between 350 - 500hp.

Thought about buying this one. He is selling the motor complete with all pulleys water pump disty and throwing in a carb that needs rebuilt

go to a machine shop and have them build one they way you want it. there is nothing worse then buying a used engine and you arent happy with its performance. just my advice....

depends on how much horsepower you want and how much money you have. for something stock around 1500. for something with some horse power.... about 2500.

Re: Swapping to tbi 350

Well I did my own research and I'm pretty sure it's been bored already since the Pistons are stamped the vin is missing to identify what kind of block it is.

Now what I plan to do clean her up and try to get a decent amount of horsepower out of her, while still being able to cruise around.

Any recommendations? I read the article on the chump change 350 would that be a good place to start?

I was going to try and use the tbi still with my setup.

I have am elderbrock performer intake

Stock heads maybe, the casting numbers are 14071114 76cc

valves are 1.84/1.50

I haven't got the numbers off the cam or crank yet.

Supposed to be a high nickel 4 bolt main block

It is bored 60 over via the stamped pistons.

But if the crank and cam turn out to be stock and I would need better heads what would you guys recommend. The more horsepower the better with still being able to cruise around town.
