Swapping 305 TPI for carbureted Chevy 355
I am swapping my 305 TPI for a 355 and I was wondering what I do with the wiring harness because I want the engine bay as clean as possible with no access tubes and wires. Can I still use my 700r4 and just buy a manual valve body and what would I do about the shifter since I want to keep it automatic looking with the same shifter if that's possible. How would I lock up the torque converter. Would all my gauges work still like voltage, rpm and feul? Can I still use my stock fuel pump and how would I make it work for the carb? I was thinking about just wiring my fans to a switch and turning them on when I start the car. Any other information on this swap would be much apprecieted.

Or would it be better to just put the heads and tpi on the 355 and just go like that I do realize that it will be no drag racing machine and that is what I do with it so maybe I shouldn't do that

Or would it be better to just put the tpi and heads off the 305 and but them on the 355. I do know that the heads are probably smaller on the 305 and that will be no good as a drag racer unless someone has done this before and can tell that the car is fine with the 305 heads. but I do use it as a drag racer so any advice will be greatly appreciated

Those heads are like putting a bag over somebody's head
