preparing for the swap

ok, guys

as we all know, i am ditching my MPFI 3.1 for a brand new carbed V8 crate engine...................

i just want to know if i am forgetting anything here..............

what i will need: radiator, motor mounts, coolant hoses, headers, bellhousing, V8 clutch fork, throwout bearing, flywheel, pressure plate, V8 clutch with a V6 center hub,

is a vacuum canister necessary?
and where do i hook my power brake's vacuum line to?

i also have to change my tach to a lower redline...........i think i know of a way to do that quite easily.........

and i also need to move a brake line to clear the V8 mounts.......

what size (CCA) battery will i need guys?

the motor i am buying a COMPLETE TURNKEY ENGINE rated at 260 HP..........a nice starting point

oh yeah, AFPR

which hose is the send and which hose is the return line?

how do i set my timing?

also, i suppose the wiring distrubtion to the alternator, starter and battery is a different harness than the MPFI system harness..................so i can techinally just leave it and hook up the new battery, starter and alternator to it??????

fuel

the only thing I thought of is the fuel pump in the tank will put out to much pressure for the carb so you will have to remove it or replace it with a lower presure pump. The ccc carbed engines used a pump in the tank and a mecanical, well at least mine did. maybe that setup would be the way to go. oh and did you think about the springs for the extra weight. well good luck.

ummmmmm a temp sending unit......where does that hook up to?

btw, i am gonna throw a T56 in ASAP, i just need the capital first

The temp. sending unit, should be located on the drivers side of the block on the cylinder head, (duh brain fart, i think that it is on the head) but it should be on towards the front on the drivers side of the head...

power brake booster

most carburetors have a port on the back of the carburetor, this is where you hook the power brake booster.
