I have a 91 with 70sbc 350.
the current engine mounts engine too high where my air cleaner is shoved into the hood.
i wondering what kinds should I use to make it lower to allow sbc to fit inside of the engine bay properly .
i have a edelbrock torker 2 and 1406 carb.
and I believe it’s a standard 3in air cleaner .
i cannot put a wing nut on top of the air cleaner stud to have it in place either

 

Thirdgen V-8 mounts...

 

Just stock one.
would polyurethane or solid be better?
im doing complete build on a budget but also trying to fix potential issues before pulling and rebuilding engine (only have 530 to play with)

 

Current are clam shell unsure if they are stock or truck design bought car with them in it

 

You need to get the numbers off of the calm shells that are currently in your car.

 

I’ll try this weekend cars at father in laws which is half hour away so only get selected times to work on with exspecially with wife and kids

Thanks that will give me an identification if previous owner installed them properly from pics they loook exactly ones I have I’ll see if I can find a number and double check if they are swapped it reversed in some way
