Hey guys,
I am almost done rebuilding a 5.7 355 and need to find a junkyard accessory drive. I am running 906 vortec heads. Do any of you know a vehicle I can pick an accessory drive from that will work? My block casting number is 3970010. I think I can get one from a 1500, but wanted some wisdom in council. Thanks.

When you say accessory-drive, do you mean:

-The Pulleys
-The Brackets
-All of the Accessories (Alternator, PS Pump, AC Compressor, Etc)

Or do you just want Brackets and Pulleys?

Either. If I can get the brackets I can buy the other components later. Although I'd be fine with getting all of the accessories with it, if that's possible. Do you have any ideas where I could do either of those options?

What vehicle is the engine going in and what induction system are you going to be using?

A TPI or other induction system that has a throttle body located about the same place as a TPI system is going to need a serpentine accessory drive system from a TPI car if using a factory system.

It's going to be a carburetor. It's going in an 89 Camaro RS.

I'm a fan of the 88-92 serp setups also used in caprice of those years or there abouts.

That is the same system that GM Performance sells. The 88-92 are the same TBI or TPI. Will work with a carb as well. Had one on my 80 Corvette. Only had to use an underdrive crank pulley on it to clear the front crossmember and it went right on.
