5.3 Swap questions

Long time lurker, first time poster, woo...

Been looking this forum, LS1-tech and a few other random forums trying to get all the knowledge I can. And man, it's a lot to take in.

I bought a 92 RS back in June of 22' from a friend of a friend. ($1100)
No motor, 155k on body, partially hacked up harness, worn out weather stripping, holes in the floor (looked like just surface rust before I removed the carpet.. RIP) and best of all, no clear coat haha.
-Ripped out all HVAC (probably dumb) and plated it off.
-Patched all flooring ( cut extra 1.5-2" past rust for panels) 20 G metal, lower door frame (front portion near wheel well) with 16 G metal.
-New carpet/ sound deadened the entire inner chassis, roughly 60% coverage
-Jegs SFC (welded them in)

Recently purchased a 2003 L59 5.3, 160-175 compression, dirty, but sturdy. ($465)
Waiting on my Painless Performance wiring kit to show up (#60217)
-I plan on removing the engine harness tomorrow (leaving anything that connects to the drivers side)

I've been gathering a part list thanks to you guys and a few other sources, but I'm having trouble sifting through all the different front accessory drive options to fir 3rd gen. I planned on going with ICT Billet, til I noticed they are out of stock on all of their -2 kits w/o A/C.

Does anyone have an updated part list for front drive accessory's, whether or not they work with the ICT Billet mount I'm looking at above?
And not sure if I'm dumb, but motor mounts, what gives? Why are they so expensive? Or am I just looking at the wrong mounts?
I'm not deadest on the parts above, just getting an idea of what the cost/ what I need.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

If there is a post(s) that state this info 100%/ I'm blind, my bad, just overwhelmed with the amount of info/ lack of info out there

Thanks for the help!

@ShiftyCapone
I actually have another question for you, that I am either misunderstanding or misinterpreting from your mentioned thread.

My spacing is 3 7/8, so I'd assume I would use option 3. I'd like to go with a 4th gen option, but given part availability/ being discontinued, doesn't seem like much of an option.

Can I just buy a new crank pulley, replace mine and use whatever system I want?

Not sure if that works, given compatibility, probably a pretty nooby question, I've only ever done stock replacement engines and/or full kits. New territory for me

You are correct. Whatever balancer you end up going with will dictate what accessories you can chose. Take a look at the holley setups as well. Not sure what your budget is. I ended up using a holley system but originally sourced all the parts piece meal from various places (rock auto, Cheapest GM parts, ebay, Amazon).

Sweet, good to know!
Between a 4l60/80, fuel lines/components, brake lines(maybe), accessories etc, I'd like to keep it around 4-5k, to keep my build under 10k.
I'm at about 4500 right now, but that's with tools and welding practice material.

Just be prepared to spend more. If you have to pause to save up, don't give up. These swaps sneak up on you and can nickle and dime you to death. I could write a book on the parts I bought that I never used.

Figured as much, the accessory drive is definitely going to nickle and dime me. Even with what you listed, a lot of it is hard to get and/or stupid expensive.
Didn't plan on having it running til next year, after a friend of mine rebuilds the motor.
Hopefully will find some decent deals along the way, piece mailing it. Plus, utilizing Black Friday potentially

@ShiftyCapone
My bad if this is considered spam, since I'm essentially bumping a completed thread, but think I just got a pretty damn good deal from Hawks. Since the ICT Billet mounting bracket is $200 shipped, and other kits like this are $500+

Honestly just a little giddy at work, totally working and not looking at car parts haha.

Hope you didn't check out on that purchase yet, those are LT1 accessories (not compatible with 5.3).

That's why I love forums haha, figured something was up, since no one has it in their lists for swaps. Appreciate the info.

Re: 5.3 Swap questions

As mentioned those will not work on your 5.3. Those are accessories for a Gen 1 or Gen II small block. You need Gen 3 (LS) accessories. Call hawks and cancel. They can steer you to what you need.

We're all good, it was one of those rushing at work, impulse buys. I saw I had 12 hrs to cancel, no fee. Wasn't sure if they had multiple in stock, kind of situation. I planned on talking to them, seeing if they have any used front setups to compare pricing etc.
Thanks again!

Re: 5.3 Swap questions

Do the fuel lines yourself. I spent less doing my fuel lines in ptfe hose and aluminum on the underside where the driveshaft runs. Ptfe is not necessary for you so you can spend less than I did. Also don't forget the corvette fuel filter cause it doubles as the regulator.

Appreciate the input, waiting on parts/ sales right now. I'll do fuel lines after engine is done, brake lines shortly after. Fuel lines shouldn't be too hard hopefully. Might cut a cheater door above the fuel tank, since dropping the rear looks like a pain

Re: 5.3 Swap questions

Yeah I'm at the end of my build to where I'm just doing finals. I cut the fuel door and modified a new sender to accept AN lines and be easier to do mods later with a Detroit speed trapdoor.

Let me know I'll send you any links to whatever if you need.
You doing any suspension?

Eventually, it drove the way it is before old motor blew. Figured the suspension would get me by for a little while. Haven't been looking too much into suspension setups yet tho

Re: 5.3 Swap questions

I have a thread in the members camaros section that shows the ict bracket I used. I also used cheap motor mount adapters that were under $50 if I remember right. Factory f body oil pan.
