305 tpi to 350 tpi help/question
Hello. New to the site. I have an 86 iroc that needs a motor overhaul. While I'd like to throw money into an ls1 swap. My money is focused on another build. My question is. Can one I'd like to get it running again. But don't want to overhaul the 305.. can I switch the 305 block for a 350 block then add all the accessories back together and just get a new computer for a 350? Thanks all.

Everything will swap over, if the heads are not center bolt you might have to elongate the center 4 mounting holes. 22#hr injectors from southbay fuel injectors and a chip tuned for your engine and your set.

The chip is soldered into the memcal assembly. Yes in the computer

Your 86 uses a V-Belt set-up ( perimeter valve covers) and 87+ engines used a serpentine belt. ( center bolt ). I remember that there was an accessory bracket bolt hole conflict when comparing heads,..... meaning there was a missing accessory bracket mounting hole in the heads when installing a different kind of accessory brackets on them.
I just can't remember when the hole was "missing" : V-Belt -to-Serp vs. Serp to V-Belt. ( I think the conflict arises when installing center bolt accessory brackets on perimeter bolt heads. ) Maybe someone else can chime in and verify ???? )

I thought that was just for the 113 aluminum vette heads? Thats the one's I've always had to modify

I have used 90-92 305 automatic memcals, they have been discontinued years ago
