YSI/5.3/T56 with AC build

Long time listener, first time caller. I know/have met a few guys on this forum so we will see how many of them realize I am here finally. haha

Been around 3rd gens my whole life, and have owned mine for close to 5 years. Up until recently it has been collecting dust in the corner of the garage. Not a new guy to the LS deal, nor forced induction. Long story short I wanted to duplicate my C5 build into my Iroc but it took some figuring out and what not.

Basics are a gen 4 5.3 stock rotating assembley and block. Stock casting 799 heads, .660 springs and steel retainers, Tick 2v2 blower cam-already here
C6 A&A blower bracket and Ultimate drive system with a V7 Ysi headunit-waiting on
C5 alt/ps-already here
C5 AC mount for a Sanden compressor from VA-waiting on
VA surefit kit for 82-87-waiting on
Haltech Rebel LS for engine management-already here
Holley HiRam with Bosch 210's-waiting on
Tick lvl 2 T56 with a Monster LT-1 sc twin disc-already here

However, I noticed that Holley has discontinued the LS swap exhaust systems. So, who is the go too for good fitting headers with the BlackHeart mounting system? Speed Engineering? Kooks? Hawks?

Also, looking at the Dakota Digital dash stuff, anyone using it with a t56? How do you like it?

Not much to see just yet. Car is on the lift with the interior and engine bay stripped. Waiting on boxes to show up. But i have a few. Also stuck one in there of when I mocked up a turbo system last year but decided I'd rather move forward with the blower setup.

I've read that the speed engineering headers line up really well to the blackheart system, but as you probably already know, be prepared for a little custom work. That is unless you are asking which headers work with their blackheart mounts. In that case, any of the ones listed should work even if they are slightly different dimensionally. The blackheart trans cross member gives ample clearance for collectors.

Is there any Bolt in solution in lieu of the black heart system? I see the speed tech true dual system still needs fabrication to fit a 3rd gen. Doesn’t look like there are any plug and play solutions. I wonder why hooker discontinued the Blackheart exhaust system ? EPA ?

Yes, California change their CAFE rules and Holley basically said peace out. I have the speed engineering true dual set-up but it has been heavily tweaked and customized to fit perfectly. It is very loud and the drone is horrible. If I had to do it all over again I'd stick with a single 4" and call it a day.
