400 crank with a 1 piece FLANGE?
Does anyone make one? I haven't found it but perhaps I'm not searching correctly. Can you get a 2 piece RMS 400 crank, but with the 1 pc FLANGE only. So you could bolt later FW's drivetrains to an older 400?

Re: 400 crank with a 1 piece FLANGE?
There's no benefit.
You're either asking for a morphodyke crank that doesn't do anything better than 1pc. block + 400 crank + rms spacer + aftermarket flywheel or aftermarket crank + stock 1pc flywheel.
Or you want a crank that matches nothing in whole to avoid using an a/m flywheel.
More aftermarket 1pc. RMS cranks are available now than the 90s. A/M 400 blocks too. But back when 400 blocks were cracking before the rotating assy, the mixing and matching made some sense.

No? You got a dual mass flywheel for a ZF6 that will bolt to a 2 pc crank?
. 'Cause I got a ZF6, (as one example), DM FW...and I don't think it'll bolt to a 400 crank. Be nice....one might even say, beneficial, if it would.
If there are none, then I'll make it work anyway, but I thought it might be a "thing". 400's are cool, anyone putting 'em into a car in the last 30+ years would have to deal w/that interface, so seemed like someone may have an "Easy Button" for that. Guess not.

Re: 400 crank with a 1 piece FLANGE?
Agreed on flywheel availability. But 400 blocks are great until they crack. A 1970s 400 casting as the foundation for a build isn't a great idea when you can pick up a Dart or other aftermarket block.
The weight on the 2pc. crank moved to the 1pc.flywheel 350 to 350. But the 400 is balanced unique from the other Gen 1s.
So you would have a one-off solution flywheel, with no guarantee the stock bolt on DM FW could be left as-is with regard to balance.
Custom crank, custom balanced flywheel, leak prone rear seal, crack prone block. No, I am not on board with your build "just because I have an S6-40."
Besides, I can build a Tremec that holds more than you need. TR6060 detents on a T56? Done it. TR6060 pump on a T56 before Tick introduced their front plate? Done it. I have always referred ZF biz to ZF Doc (about 25 miles from me) because there's no benefit.

Dart shp block with 4.125 bore and 1 pc rear would be worth it imo. Roller cam block, modern and strong

Re: 400 crank with a 1 piece FLANGE?
It probably would be worth it....for the right vehicle, goals and budget. The vehicles that I'm thinking about when I asked the original question, they, their goals, and their budgets? Definitely NOT worth it.
Welllllllll.....Gotta disagree with you again, there. A stock 400 block will work just great for a low-medium RPM application, at moderate power, and provide a great driving experience...all for NOT $3000.00. Right? You see what I'm saying? If I want a ~350-400 net hp/400+Tq engine, a stock 400 block is going to do that just fine and it'll do it for a long time...for very little $crill.
Well...I mean, that's cool...but that wasn't my question...was it? I didn't ask that, b/c I don't care if you would or wouldn't. I ask IF. IF one had been made or is available. Pretty simple.

Welllllll....back to money. I have no doubt that "you can build...." whatever. Anyone can...right?? With enough dough? Sure! But I have a ZF that is probably the strongest transmission ever to go in a car. (and it's detents already work)...so, no, you're not going to be building me a Tremec, but thanks for offering.
I guess that the short, non-conceded answer to my original question is, no, no one has made one. Thanks for answering my post!
Now I'll waste no more time thinking about that, and instead, move on to another solution.

Wonder if the ZF Doc has any sort of solution 🤔

Simplest thing would be an internally balanced 383 crank w bearing spacers and longer rods than stock 400 ones. Doesn't seem like it would be that hard.
