Fuel Pump Relay Wire Location Under Dash

Could someone please let me know where the fuel pump wire is located under the dash on a 1989 Firebird? I know where it is located on the C100 but I am looking to tap into it for my LS PSI harness
Thanks Rich

Re: Fuel Pump Relay Wire Location Under Dash

Which wire are you talking about. The one that switches the relay, or the one that powers the pump?

I think that I am all set now, I was confused what was needed with my stand alone harness for the fuel pump. I will be using a plug and play kit from Hawks/Racetronix FPWH-035
I have a friend helping me with this part, it's more than what I can figure out LOL
Thanks Rich

Re: Fuel Pump Relay Wire Location Under Dash

AI OverviewOn a 1989 Firebird, the main fuel pump relay is generally located in the engine compartment, but the wiring passes through the cabin, often passing over the driver's side kick panel area. However, for diagnostic purposes, the prime connector is usually located under the hood.
  • Fuel Pump Relay: Located on the driver's side or passenger side of the firewall/inner fender, often mounted near the brake booster. It is a 5-way connector with a red wire (power out), green/white wire (ECM), and orange wire (power in).
  • Fuel Pump Prime Connector (Diagnostic): A single red wire or connector, usually found hanging near the diagnostic connector or near the fuel pump relay in the engine bay. Applying 12V+ to this connector will directly prime the fuel pump.
  • Wiring Path: The fuel pump harness runs along the driver's side rocker panel inside the car, moving toward the back seat.

Thanks For the info. When I first started ordering the fuel pump racetronix suggested that I get the plug and play kit for the car so I ordered it. After installing my PSI stand alone harness for the LS swap I started looking at the relay setup they they included in the car. My friend is going to help me with figuring how to get them working together
