87 2.8 to 93-95 3.4
87 2.8 to 93-95 3.4
alright my main question is will the t-5 from an 87 2.8 work with the 93-95 3.4 that i'm putting in my berlinetta? the guys that i'm ordering it from say i can use the same computer and everything, all i have to do is use the 2.8 intake with the 3.4 injectors or use the 3.4 intake and do some minor hose rerouting. they're proffesionals so i'm sure it'll work but i was just wondering if anyone has done this swap. the engine puts out about 160-170 hp and 200 lb./ft. of torque, which is good considering it gets 28 mpg on the highway. gas economy is a concern for me and i think the 3.4 with a few small mods is a good balance of power and gas mileage. i live in maine and i'm going to get it shipped up from florida, if anyone knows of any f-body junkyards with complete engines that are closer to me i would really like to know. thanks for any input.

yes. mostly. do a search on KED85 or 2.8 to 3.4 swap boogie in the V6 board. Karl has a nice long article on doing this swap.
One reason I said mostly,
a) does your intake have a cold start injector? If so, you must reuse your 2.8 manifold setup, just replace the 3.4 intakes.
edit:
I couldn't find the thread, may have been deleted, so I will do a new one w/ the whole article in it.
