85 305 TPI to 89 350 TPI
I have an 305TPI 85 IROC. I got a great deal on a 89 TPI 350 with tranny. Problem is that I have everything (including computer) but the harness. Is there a way to rig my current harness ? The new ones from Painless are not made for cars with AC. I am going to get this combo so I need a solution. If I have to carb it I will, However I would rather keep it TPI. I have the computer so I have no idea if I can just swap computers.
I could use some real help
Thanks

Check out this tech article: http://www.eecis.udel.edu/~davis/z28/ecm_swap/
It tells you how to convert your '85 harness to work with a 86-89 computer. It tells you step by step what to do and how to do it. Check it out and go for it.

Certainly is the right move, changing to the later ECM type.
You may also be able to get an unhacked '89 TPI harness from a bone yard. Would be worth a try.
