Hi guys! It’s been over 10 years since I’ve been on this board.... life just gets in the way... Some of you will remember I was one of the founding members of the European board along with Felix, RMK, andyfanshawe, irocfan etc etc.... you’ll be glad to know that I still have the same Camaro after 29 years although it’s been in storage for 10 years!!!!!!! I’ve just this week fired it up for the first time and pulled it out of the garage :-) She needs a bit of recommissioning but what did I expect after 10 years lol! Felix, you out there ? Lol speak to you all soon!!!!!
Hi! I’ve had to replace all the brake lines, cylinders and calipers... engine fired right up after I went through it :-) it does have a rotted out drivers floorpan but that’s getting sorted at the garage at the mo :-) After that I can drive it on the road again for the first time in 10 years!!!! Great to see you’re still around 👍
It’s just really great to find that we’re still driving these cars after all these years! I must admit there were a few times where I could of sold mine but I just “hid” it from myself to stop that..... I’ve owned her a long time..... I was in my twenties when I bought this car and I’m now closer to 50 than 40! Where does the time go????
Lifes just been getting in the way (im sure you’ll understand that one!!! )
ive owned my own business for the past 11 years which has taken up all my time..... great to be my own boss but plenty of stress lol Soooo glad to see you’re still a Thirdgen guy.... just live that vert... as least you’ve got one the right colour now 🤪 Remember.... red ones are faster right?
It was a sad time time for me selling the zz4 white one but ultimately I always wanted a 'vert. Several years later I was lucky enough to buy this one from Belfast and drove it over, through Scotland and home.
I sure do understand life and all that it throws at you. 4 kids and house moves, job moves and the madness from it all. Congrats on being your own boss, massive respect to you.
I do like the red. Black is awesome too but hides the black accents which make the IROC, like the louvers and stripes.
You probably still remember my geocities attempt at a UK thirdgen site back in the day?
Wow you have the SSM Lift bars installed? They are a massive deal, how is it with them fitted? I got them once for the white one and Robin Grey refused to fit them
From what I remember they’re really good.... car hooks fantastically... I’ll have to refresh my Memory as the last time I drove the car was 2009 ....
Currently just having a new drivers floorboard put in as I had to sweep the old one up from the garage floor The garage got flooded after a muppet repaired my garage roof and it filled the car with water.... sigh.... floods and I don’t mix... if you saw the really bad floods in York a couple of years ago my business was one of the ones ruined.... took us 11 months to get back open...such is life! Just gotta keep smiling
I couldn't get a new floorpan shipped for a reasonable amount....... buying it wasn't a problem but the shipping was 4-5 times the cost of the sheetmetal :-( The guy who;s sorting it is just going to fab a new one....luckily its just the floorboard and not the rockers etc..no pics yet on the floorpan repair but heres the most recent progress pic....new brakes! :-)
doing great, almost contacted you to get me a motorcycle part off eBay. But I found one in Australia of all places.
glad to hear your cars running good, it was fun tuning from the states

My guy has now removed all the flakey rubbish and we appear to be left with this!!! I’m amazed that it’s just the lower floor... rockers etc are perfect 👍
So two years down the line and I finally got the beast back from the garage.... it’s now had its first run on the road for 12 years..... exciting times.... however it has been sat outside exposed to the elements for 2 years so the paintwork had suffered quite a lot! So... today I machine polished the bodywork and it’s brought it back quite nicely.... now if only I could actually go for a drive in it... damn lockdown!! How’s everyone anyways.... good to be back posting instead of my normal lurking lol
it was one of those “do a bit here and there inbetween other jobs” jobs.... just took “A bit” longer than I thought lol
i must have about 20 hours of cutting the paint and polishing it to get the shine back but she looks great again now! You can see how faded the paint had got in the 2 pics... then and now :-)
