Cheapest headers

What are the cheapest set of 1 5/8" headers and y-pipe...the lowest i could find was hedmann, headers for 104.99 and the y-pipe for 98.99. I would love a nice set of SLPs but to be realistic i am not going all out performance with this car and just lookn for low 14s...for the summer all i can afford is to swap in the new 305(I already have it and its is GM new), and the T-5, i have a 9 bolt 3.45 rear in there so i think the gears are good for the TPI set up, and a ZZ4 cam with all the valve train goodies required and i have a cat-back already.....what ever....i just need some headers and a y-pipe for Cheap.

That's probably your best bet other than dynomax, and I would take hedmans over those.

Hey

Im pretty sure that u can get a set of Hooker super comps from summit for 141.99. and they also come with a Y Pipe. So Ive been told. There a better header then hedmen. They will give u more performance and a better sound that way it will take u less to get to 14s.

Just put my hedman's and y-pipe on today. I spent $224 from a local store for both the headers and y pipe.

what do you think of them? Is ther a provision for the O2 sensor? I bet there is not one for the AIR **** but i can just take that off. I am just keeping everything that was OEM down the in the basement incase i ever want to resore the car someday.

Summit has there own set of headers for our cars that cost 79.50
which have all the hardware needed to mount them. It looks like a pretty good deal.

No o2 provision, we relocated it to my custom cat delete pipe. Just cut a hole in the pipe and welded in a fitting. We just unhooked all the AIR junk.

The summit headers for $79.50 are really only good as a starting point for a dual exhaust. They wont hook up to our y pipes and even fabricating your own pipes with them is a PITA.
