I need zero emmission equipment headers!
What is a setup that has absolutely no emissions **** or oxygen sensor on it but still come with a Y-pipe?
I got '87 LG4 and I don't care about that emmission **** cause it's just **** that clutters up my hood and I'm runnin Vortecs with Performer RPM intake and Carter 750cfm carb and so on I just need that damn exaust.
And I will buy SLP if I have to but I don't like the clearance rumors.

I'm looking to convert my '87 bird to the newer trans am body style the one before '90.
I don't think so but is this a hard swap?
I know I'll need the ground effects, rear bumper,Front bumper and mounting hardware.

I think that you can get the hooker supercomps with a y-pipe, and you can get them w/o all the emmissions crap on them too.

Hedman sells shortie headers and y-pipes that fit third-gens.No emission stuff either.Part #67470 for the headers and 17470 for the y-pipe if i remember correctly.
Shorties w/o any emissions fittings: mine.
Headers $99
Y-pipe $99
No AIR fittings on the headers, no O2 sensor fitting either. The y-pipe will be the same no matter what. Since I'm still running a computer, we put the O2 sensor in a custom cat delete pipe.

do the heddman y-pipe work or does it have to be custom.
Did they install easily?
how's the workmanship?
Thanks!

i havent got them installed yet but if you want to install them yourself its not a huge task ..im not sure bout the Y-pipe im not gonna use one (duals) as far as workman ship i have one of them in my lap right now looking at it ..i see very few flaws in the welding (there will be flaws here and there) the flange is pretty thick ...i would give them 31/2 stars out of 4 ....not giveing them 4 because they arent ceramic coated....but you could get that done check out www.jet-hot.com they sent me a price estimate for these headers for coating them inside and out it would be $179.00 not bad:lala:
I got the hedman hedders and matching Y-pipe on my 85 with a 79 Z28 350 and they flow way better that stock with good ground clearance there is no EGR provisions and they look super sick when Jet-Hot coated. They will mount up to your cat but why use that if you don't have any other emissions on there. The only weak thing is that you can't do true duals on these cars
but you can still kick *** with single 3". Eliminating all the smog **** will lose weight as well as gaining horse. Some will say it doesn't but it does. Losing weight is as good as adding horsepower so do both and you've killed to Mustangs with one stone.

Ya I won't have a cat.
As for the mustangs I'm not worried because noone around here (New Jersey) really has a mustang with a set of big ***** on 'em.
I'm worried about my brothers car.

That'll do it.
