That isnt really far from what I have seen done on some street rods. I seen on last week that had a turbo hung on the right side with what looked an upside down 4 banger "intake" manifold. The routed the boost tube to the intake and mounted the carb on some funkey intake that went to the boost tube, the carb was actually located where an alternator would be on a normal SBC.

I wish I could have taken a picture.
