I have mine coming out from the side. It sounds good but it's kinda loud (course that could be the mufflers I chose). I didn't get chrome tips, I just painted them with some hi temp aluminum color paint and they look pretty good. I don't have any pics yet, but I'll post some when I get them.

I have this know it all guy at work who swears that it's illegal in Georgia to run it out before the rear axle, but I asked my muffler shop that did my S-10 about it and they said that it must exit "behind the passenger compartment" so technically it's ok, as long as the cat is still there.

my friends got full length headers goin into flexpipe and then into a cherry bomb (true dual, so one for each side)...it exits a little bit before the rear axle..sounds BAD ***!, but of course, there is some legality issues concerning his set-up.

Give me a few days and I'll take some pics and get them developed. As for how much it cost, I'm not sure, but it wasn't cheap. My guess would be ~$600 or so for the whole setup (headers to turnouts). I'll add up my reciepts and post them up tomorrow.
i was thinking, not neccisarily planning cuase i dont have the resources even if i seriouslt wanted to, but i think true dual out the side would be sic, especially if they came through the ground effects just before the rear tire. kinda like on the new cobra, (dont hate me, i think it looks nice)

I loved CarNDrivers car as a whole, but it was not a true dual setup. He routed the pipe in the factory location, and did have them exit in front of the tire. If you do a search for CarNDrvR, he posted some pics of his exhaust a long time ago.
