My Dynomax exhaust

I just wanted to post my comment about my Dynomax cat. back! First I took out my gutted cat and replaced it with a 3" pipe from testpipe.com and then got a dynomax cat. back from summit! I love the sound!! It is so quiet and i don't have the annoying crackling when i let off at high rpm anymore! I'm very happy with it and wish i would have done it instead of getting a flowmaster, and a hooker aero chamber!! I guess 3rd time is a charm! I really didn't know what to do about the tailpipes so i used the ones with the kit and since they have the factory bend i just pointed them upward more so when your behind the care you can't even see them!! I would recommend dynomax if you want a deep, chambered exhaust note!

P.S. My old Hooker Aero Chamber muffler with 3" tailpipes is for sale on the classified section!! Only used 3 months!!!

Do you have a soundclip?

How easy was the install? Is it actually a "bolt-on" type system?...or was it a pain in the ***?

There's a sound clip in my sig of the 2 1/2" system.

BTW, I think you had trouble getting into my briefcase at Yahoo.com didn't you? I'll try attaching it here, but I don't think it'll work.

Nope. I can't attach it here 'cause it's too big.

Did you put it on yourself?....how easy was it if you did? And how's the interior noise level?

Yeah, I don't know what the deal was with the briefcase. I would be logged into Yahoo, but I couldn't get it. Wierd.

So you like the sleep sound huh? Why would you get flows or hooker if that's the sound you wanted?

Well, I went for 2 years with a 460 and dual Flowmasters.....yes, I do like the Hooker the best sound wise, but not for me. I just can't take all that noise anymore. Let's put it this way, if you lined up a whole bunch of camaros next to each other, with all the different types of cat-backs on them....I would choose the Hooker, but, for my daily driven, 305 RS, the Hooker is just too loud, and would draw too much attention to my not-fast RS.....it would be all bark and no bite......how importish.

I don't think mine's quiet. Deeper sounding than the norm.... but not quiet. My wife's been taking my car to work every day since Sat. and every time she's coming down the block I can hear her coming even though I'm in the house with all the doors/windows closed.

Here's another direct link to me reving it past 4K RPM. It gets that same popping noise like glass packs do, but if I leave it in 1st and let it drag down, it doesn't pop. I dunno.

Not very. The "I"pipe is a major PITA because it's one piece from the cat, over the axle, then to the muffler. You have to get the car REALLY high in order to get the swing you need to maneuverate that sucker in there.
And how's the interior noise level
The pipes that came with it mount in the factory location. It was audible in the car, but not bad. Now I've got the pipes out the back and it's a lot less audible inside, but a little louder outside.
