Hooker Cat-Back System

On the Hooker cat-back setup, is it loud to the point where it draws too much attention? I want the muscle car sound, but don't want to be pulled over every 5 minutes. Who sells the cat back the cheapest for the TPI 3-inch exhaust? Also, can the tips the it comes with (the 4 tailpipes) be removed, or are they part of the pipes? Thanks.

I had the Hooker setup on my car, the sound is nothing short of awesome. Not to loud, not to quiet...excellent system. The tips are just that...tips, you don't have to put them on, but they sure look good. I switched to a single 3in in/out, flowmaster, and now I wish I had the hooker back.

Any aftermarket exhaust won't be too loud, the engineers have to consider that when they design it. I love my hooker system, it sounds great, and I have headers with it too.

ok a couple of questions for you guys. I am definately going to get an exhaust system b4 winter. I am really psyched after hearing all this on Hooker AeroChamber system I have also been doing a lot of research here and through online stores. but where is the best place to get them online? and about how much did it cost i have seen a couple spots offer it for around $250 is this acout right for what everyone has paid for it!
Also for a 91 305 tbi...will it sound pretty nice. i know my car is not a "high performance" car but i would like it to sound nice. right now i think it is a stock replacelment which is very quiet. also, can i expect any performance gains, cause my car really doesn't have much pick up, would this improve anything slightly at least?

thankyou ahead of time if anyone responds, i really do take all advise from everyone seriously. thanks.. steve

How come you guys get pulled over so much?! I hear this all the time that it attracts attention...I have NEVER once gotten pulled over cause it sounded loud or cause I was doing like only 5mph over the limit. Either I got mad skillz or your guyz's cops suck my left nut hardcore. Oh btw, the Hooker catback is nice...

P.S. My car is loud (hole in muffler)

I've got the Hooker Cat back and it's really frickin' loud! I'm also running headers and an off-road pipe, and I've built up my motor, but seriously, I wake up the whole damn neighborhood when I start my car. The system sounds good but it is not quiet and it will attract attention.

I ditched the cheezy quad tips for some Hedman 17164's.
