All I see are little red x's. Go to summitracing.com or jegs and look at a pair of headders. You can even do some searches here to look at pics. The two of them look nothing alike.

Even though the pics are not a top view, I think you get the point. Those are just after I painted them. Hooker Super Comp Shorties pn 2055. About $350 with a Y pipe.

Headers give the car a nice sound and yes they do increase proformance. The Nicest thing about them is that they improve the flow. The stock Y pipe is choking your motor. But like it has been said, they are pricy and not that easy to install. You can do it cheap for about $200, or go and get SLP's for about 6-700 coated I think. Those were 350ish, and came with a Y ppe. I had them sandblasted for $10 and sprayed them with the highest paint I could find. About 1500*. I love them and they will stay with the car even with my next motor.

Headers will help a lot. The manifolds are very restrictive. They're not all that hard to put in if you know what you're doing, but even if it's your first time it's not too difficult. All you have to do is take stuff off and bolt it back on. I did my headers by myself in probably 8 hours or so (spread across a few days). Most of that time was spent on getting the manifold bolts off.

those are stock manifolds, you can get some headers around $150 if y ou don't need to keep your A.I.R. system, or else pla to spend around $300 for a decent set.
get rid of that air system if anything
hey man if u sotn want ot get headers yet at least get rid of that a.i.r system. screw emissions get the village idiot to pass you slip an extr 20 bones to him. but if you get rid of that a.i.r crap and take the pump off the motor your alreay looking at added hp without new headers. and then if you get new headers even better. win win situations. and changing the plugs is somuch damn easiers. for instance i got accelll 8.8 plugs wires and accel plugs today and took the old plugs and wires off and put the new ones on in about an hour . i can reach all the way down to the cunder side of the engine without cutting circulation to my whole damn arm. and half of the time i was holding a cigarette. one haded tune up im tellin ya. dont get no better than that. but removing the whole air system will take about 8 hrs. but well worth it in the long run saves time and adds hp:lala: :lala: :lala: :lala: :lala: :lala: :lala: :lala: :lala: made working on my car a hell of a lot easier. basically get rid of the ****:lala:
