Flowmasters Duel or Single

Opinions. I have the cash to put on a superflo Cat, new pipes, and duel flowmasters. My question is.... is it worth it to put duel exhaust on my '85 z28 TPI, or should I just go with the single muffler? Looking for input.

I think duals look cooler. but in the flowmasters case the single will be louder. as far as performace I don't think there is much difference. If you don't care about the look of the single exit I say go with it and save some money. my dad has it and it sounds mean.

single 3 inch flowmaster exhaust dual exit. there is little to no ground clearance with a true dual exhaust. and it costs more. get a random technology hi flow cat...a little less than 200$$. then the cat back, and headers too. good luck

I thought with duel exhaust, you get more exhaust out faster than single, thus increasing more hosepower over the single. I was thinking Dynomax Superflo Cat 120$ with new pipes, and then the flowmaster(s). What do you mean by *cat back*? Also, what type of headers. I can't have true headers, I have to have ones that fit, with the 02 sensor in it.

Okay professor. The spelling error wont happen again. I know you are much more sophistocated and intellectual than I. Your maturity level for pointing out my error, shows you off the chart. Thank you again.

i didnt know...i thought the exhaust was gonna start fighting.....j/k cat back exhaust is just that, everything behind the cat. many companies offer these systems, such as flowmaster, edelbrock...etc and they are usually about $250. i have the edelbrock and i love it. youll get better response from a whole cat back system rather that just a muffler. and if you're looking for even more of a feel, include headers and a hi-flo cat. you can get headers that fit your car w/ an O2 fitting as well as AIR fittings...edelbrock and slp have them.

yeah hes right. a cat back system is new piping, muffler and tips from the CATalytic converter back. Catco($99), random tech($180?) and i guess dyno max($120) sell hi flow cats. SLP, Edelbrock TES, Hooker, Hedmen, all offer headers. also many more. well you can go with true duals but its not necessary...no ground clearance, and unless you have a wild cam, heads, intake etc it will do you no good.
