Question for those with the Hooker Cat back w. in.....
I've got the hooker cat back system on my car. I love the sound, and performance, and looks, EXCEPT that my damn tips look like crap. The chrome is all rusty and so is the inside......I polised them but it keeps on coming back, and I tried even painting the inside of the tips with a high heat paint, but alas, still rust after the first rain. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions?

Yeah, mine looked pretty skanky, too. So, I ripped them off! My tailpipes now end about two inches before the end of the aero effects, and a little bit of soot collects on the silver aero spoiler. However, it cleans up nice, and virtually no one can see the exhaust until I hit 'em with a growl and some tire smoke.

I was thinking of buying the 3 inch Hooker cat back also...but i'm really curious as to what it sounds like. I'd like something pretty bassy and kinda loud...so if someone could describe the sound or maybe send me a sound clip i'd be very happy....all that probably sounds stupid but...Thanks!

i have the hooker 3" cat-back and i love the sound. its a little quiet at idle but when you womp on the gas it gets loud at 2000 rpms and then get quiet, and then gets loud around 3400 rpms. it has a very nice muscle(i think that is spelled wrong, oh well) car sound. even when you dont push it hard you can still hear that muscle car sound. it is not hollow or tinny like flowmaster. i totally recommend it.
