It will be very difficult for duals to exit the rear. You can check Willie's post on here, he did it.

but duals dump before the rear have been done. You're looking at around $500 or so, just an estimate.

I'm a bit confused, like an H or X pipe? no you don't have to have them, but they help quite a bit.

Better than me explain something I'm about to attempt, do a search, go to the bottom and type in dual exhaust. Look for fast3rdgen's post and maybe a few others. should answer all your questions.

Yes it is if you're looking to keep the dual exhaust from hanging lower the the factory routing. By cutting up my trans x-member.. my duals actually have ½" clearance advantage over the single 3" my camaro has on it.

Tall... cost depends on how crafty you (or your friends) are.
I made duals on my car for just around $150... 8-90º bends at $10/ea, 2-7'x2½" at 8$/ea, 2 4thgen tips for $30/pr, $6 for a piece of flat stock to modify the x-member, $8 for the roll of fiberglass to make the mufflers & $2 for the round stock to make the exhaust hangers $4 for aluminium paint.

I planned on following fast3rd gens method, but didn't see him list the x member , myabe I need to read it again.

There's nothing wrong with fast3rd's setup at all.. I was only saying to keep the pipes from hanging lower than OEM exhaust (keeping ground clearance to max), notching out the x-member is something needed... it's not something that absolutely has to be done though. With longtubes.. from the pics I've seen, notching the x-member probably wouldn't really help clearance by much. I could easily be wrong as well though.
