Headman headers any good?

I bought headman headers that have 1 5/8 primaries and 3" colectors. Will there be any clearence problems and how well do these headers flow? These are going on my 82 camaro with 350 and borg warner 4 speed.

I dont really know if they will clear your car but I DO know they flow pretty good. Once I hit about 3000 RMP, hold on to your hat! I gained some goo d power in the mid range with them.

I had to notch the rear mount on the drivers side lower control arm and notch the crossmember to get the left header to fit. It could have been just my car or the type of engine mounts I was using but you may experiance the same fitting problem. The right header is a simple install only requiring removing the starter to get it in.

Of course that's also when I had a 383 in the car. The big block and the header installation was even worse but it's finally in.

I've always had problems getting hedman headers to seal. Their flanges are too thin.

They will flow just fine.
The only issue with Hedman is they are an economy header and will be lacking in quality of build.
Just so you know.
good luck

the man asked about long tubes I believe??
well i plan on these two and jegs (not that I would order from those A**holes anyway) says they wont fit without mods
but Ive talked to enough people that say they will to start saving for a pair.
this post could change my mind however, if people start coming out of the woodwork with horror stories.

I have full length hedmans with 1 5'8 primaries. Mine fit very well with no major problems. My car doesn't have emissions equipment or A.C. so that made it a lot easier than it would have been otherwise. Ground clearance is very good if you do a good job making the y-pipe.
