Anybody Else? I've never heard either, but I have heard a 40 series and I think they're a little too loud for my taste. I'm under the impression that the 80 series is pretty close to 40 series in sound.

My friend has a 80 series flowmaster on his car and I have the Hooker Aerochameber his car was louder, but we both think the Hooker sounds "better"

I have the 80 series dual cat AT catback system. Personally, I think the 3 inch dual outlet 80 series muffler is quieter than dual 40 series. (like on a stang) That's what it seems like to me, but I might just be used to the sound.

I was told that the flowmaster 40 series are for true duals only since they are made as single inlet/single outlet. The 80 series are designed for our thirdgens...single inlet/dual outlet. And the 80 series are supposed to be just as loud. I dunno bout that. I do have the 80 series and its mad loud. I have a stock 305 and it sounds just the same or even better than some stock 350s.
Truthfully, I have heard too many Hooker Aerochambers to form an opinion but I'm happy with what I've got.

I have a Hooker system on my Z, and a Flowmaster dual out system on my 86 IROC (sorry, don't know series). The flowmaster seems like it may be a little louder, but it doesn't sound as good. Both me and my brother (the IROC is now his) prefer the Hooker system's sound to the flowmaster. The quad tips look a heck of alot better too. When it comes time to replace the flowmaster system it's getting a Hooker on it as well...

Want to hear the Hooker Aerochamber on my 305?

Here you go:

Here's another one from the open catylitic converter just for reference: http://www.isthq.com/~dan/tasound3.wav

I used to have a Flowmaster which was installed from 1991 through 2000. I like the Aerochamber better, though I got rid of the tips for a 'stealth' look.

Ive used bolth mufflers on similar cars and the areo chambers sound better unless you plan on useing big tips on the end of your pipe with big tips the flowmasters sound better. "personal opinion". Ive also tryed and am currently using a flow tech raptor turbo muffler it sound sweet "not to loud and not to soft and its cheaper than the above two.
