All the after market mufflers make the v6's sound like the rice grinders when Wide open.
on my buddy's blazer 3.4 ho, hes got a cat back dual with no cat.with a 32 inch turbo tube in place of the cat. it sounds like a mildly built sb util he hits 3000. then its rice a roni. you might try a super trap that way you can tune it to the way you like.

you know how much a suber tap is?

so hows a flowmaster that fits a V6 (dunno which one yet, havent looked into flowmaster but love them on the newer camaros and firebirds) with like a glaspak(sp) and that super tap thing sound? Will a glasspak make the sound MORE *****? i know it makes V8 sound alill nicer, but ive hear a 4 banger miata with one and it sounds like a damn remote controlled car...

Very ***** with a 6!
flow masters are alright but they really dont make lush deep tone "muscualr" as you put it. they sound really dry.im looking at a flowmaster right now in summit "flo-425501-r"
its 80$ and a 17 inch super trap "chrome" 144$ black ones are 101$ "sup-443-2017"
"sup-449-2018" these are really great mufflers cause you get 6 diffent sound setups
with just one muffler 12 diffent sounds for 30$ more. if you want to check these mufflers out go to www.summitracing.com and look for the numbers above. and if you dont get summit catalog sign up for it its free!

Yea with the super trap you can pull or put disks in to customize your sound. thats why super traps rock! takes 10 min to change the disks.

if you have a stand. i dont have anything to lift my car up with, cept maybe a wheel jack from our blazer. the only other way would be to go to my dads used car lot and use there big chevy body shop that they built to help me, but im sure theyd charge me so back to my question, i guess re asking. Would a new flowmaster system with a sound trap or w/e sound good on a V6, or still be real *****? I think a nice sounding exhaust is a must so i will find a way somehow to make a V6 sound nice

I went through half a dozen mufflers before I finally got a Dynomax SUper Turbo. Not ***** at all and every V6 owner who has one loves it.

no , somewhat louder than stock, it has a nice rumble. A single exhaust V6 sounds like crap, so keep it fairly quiet ad use a super turbo and you will be happy.

Above 3 grand a loud system on the 6 sounds like a weed wacker, or a pissed off bumble bee. Oh well, I guess its better than a 4 banger fart can noise.

I have the super turbo on my 2.8 and it sounds like straight up rice. No muffler will make your car sound like a v8 except the stock replacement which is nice and quiet (it might pass as one, and you don't have to listen to that annoying 'Chevy Berreta with a hole in the muffler' sound.

Just my opinion, but I hate the sound and would have gotten the 'Walker' standard muffler if I had to do it again (and hate it so much i just might!)

Q: Whats worse than hearing a rice mobile with a loud exhaust?

A: When you turn around laughing you *** off expecting to see big *** decals and clear taillights with chromed 8" exhaust on a Civic and see a camaro/fbd instead!!!

Q. Whats worse than hearing a loud chevy truck?

A.Turning around and seeing a loud single exhaust camaro that sounds like a chevy truck

Seriously I dont know why it sounds bad on your 2.8 EVERYONE I have talked to says it sounds real good. Of course I also have headers, catback, cam, intake to help the sound out.

One guy on here said his Dynomax sounded like rice until he got the 2.5" catback to replace the stoc I-pipe. Even if it does sound like Rice the muffler is pretty quiet, so your not buzzing around loudly.
