I have a 91 z28 convertible what muffler should I do
I have a 91 z28 convertible and I was wanting to put on an aftermarket exhaust. I don't want anything too expensive, but I want something that is louder than stock and sounds pretty good and deep. I would also like to have dual tips coming out the back. What would be the best muffler for me to use that is inexpensive and sounds good. I am not going to transversly mount the muffler becuase the flow isn't that great if I decide to do dual tips out the back. Any ideas?
I have the Borla adjustable catback on my 91 Z convertible. with the full open plate it is loud as hell, almost ot the point of being too loud, but with the middle plate it sounds perfect IMHO

I just went a couple days ago to have a stock OEM exhuast put on my 91 convertible. The service writer (who has a 92 RS) was suggesting a Dynomax system. Long story short the parts guy ordered the Dynomax by mistake. I sure noticed the difference when I picked up my car. My cat back has the super turbo muffler. It is a little louder than stock, but a deeper sound. Since my car is used mainly to take my wife and three year old out for ice cream on nice days, I was worried about the louder sound. They liked it just fine. My wife's comment "This car sure sounds like it has *****"

I got the Dynomax on my pewny 305 TBI and it sounds great. About $150 from Jegs. You may pay more cause you gotta Z. Check out there web site. They got sound clips. Dynomax, not Jegs.
