Yeah, catco sells a 3 inch cat as a direct replacement for single cat TPI cars. Have had one on both my thirdgens. Don't know if that will bolt up to the cat mount setup on the other cars though... But if you buy headers, and a cat-back for the single cat TPI cars, everything on that end will meet up nicely. I'm running Edelbrock TES headers/y-pipe, and the catco on both cars, with a Hooker catback on my 87Z and a Flowmaster on the old 86 IROC. All fits great, good cat for like $110.

Whats the price of the Catco cat? CarSound makes cats that are just as good or better for the same or lower price.

But from messing around in my driveway and stuff, it feels like its got ALOT of grunt. If I ever so slightly touch the gas the tires go up in smoke.
I'll have dyno numbers and track times when Spring rolls around..
For what its worth - Catco's are good. Carsound cat converters, however, have a higher flow rate. Here are some flow numbers taken at 28" of water, courtesy of JPR. Both are similar style 3" cats and just shows that there is, in fact, a diference between two similar cats made by two different companies.
Catco 3" #6907 flowed 365 cfm
Carsound 3" #94109 flowed 400 cfm
