Dynomax Headers?

Does dynomax make good headers? Ive been reading about headers on here and it sounds to me either you can get a pair that install easy but rust out or get a pair that wont rust out but are a bitch to install. Whats a good header thats easy to install and wont rust out? Also is jet-hot coat black or what. I like the look of chrome but if the chrome is going to chip off then ill get black ones. Let me know...thanks

If your refering to the rust on the headers after a year or so, that's just surface rust. It's something that happens when the paint burns off. You can have them coated, or get ones new that are coated if it's the look your concerned about. Plus they do flow better, and retain heat better to keep under hood air cooler.

I've had headers that were 15-20 yrs old and they never had one hole in them. I just sprayed flat black-stove paint on them to keep them looking decent. No show winner, but it looked better that rust/orange.

How would the humid climate of southwestern Louisiana affect headers? Near Lafayette.

Jet-Hot 1300 Sterling is a VERY nice chrome-like coating. It's also available in black and a couple other colors, I think.

Where get at? How much money? Can or a spray gun? Last long time? Do myself or send in to Jet-Hot?

Why is the sky purple around that big mushroom over there? Just had to add that. Sorry. Serious questions above though. Me like idea.

You have to mail them your headers and there's about a week turnaround. It's about $180 for a set of shorty headers and they're coated inside and out to an extremely smooth finish. It's also available in black, blue and cast-iron grey. It's supposed to make the headers last 4 to 14 times longer.

(I just happen to have their literature pack in front of me since I'll be sending them my headers and other exhaust components once they all get here.)
