just got headers, i need some help!!
i just got my headers today, they are flowtechs and i got them installed pretty easily along with the y pipe but i cant get the last bolt in on the passenger side header, i just cant fit my fingers in there. any advice? also my y pipe is 2 1/2 (i think) and so is my cat so i cant fit the y pipe into the cat. i already gutted the cat and ran a strait pipe through it. could i just notch the cat and spread it out a bit and slip it over the y pipe?? i thought about running a strait pipe instead of the cat but i dont think ill find one that will slip over the y pipe and fit inside of my tailpipe. can anybody help?

go from the bottom, have you tried that? better get good cuz you are prolly gonna need to tighten that bolt from time to time....

That is a tough bolt to get at. Try to get someone with small hands to try it. Then you might need a couple of open end wrenches with different offsets to tighten it up.

I have the same headers, and I got to it by running my arm through the space between the #4 & #6 headers. I had to use the open end of a shorty wrench to get on it.

Also, I don't know the name of the tool, but it's a wrench that is closed but it has an angle to the handle. kind of hard to explain, lol.

Thats what I mentioned in my earlier post. He may need a few flat wrenches with different offsets (angles) on the jaws. Maybe a half moon box end would help as well.

sounds like the best advice I've heard, if for some reason underneath still won't work for you, I found that when I removed my AC box on the firewall, that cleared up a TON of room. You can reinstall it if you want, but I left that sucker out.
