short headers

im interested in getting headers for my car, but cant find a shop around here that will install them (i dont exactly have an emsisions legal car). so im interested in finding headers for my iroc that will bolt to the "stock" y-pipe i already have... behind the manafolds, the exhaust is 3" anyways.

the exhaust manafolds i have now are stock.

any help would be great.

I don't think anyone makes headers that short. If you did buy shorties you'd have to cut and reweld your flanges to keep the pipe you have.

I would recomend the Hedman shorties with the Y-pipe. That would come the closest to fitting the exhaust you have right now with minimal cutting, welding, and cost.

I hesitate to answer this type of question, because I haven't installed mine yet, but the Hooker 2055's have the y-pipe to a 3" slip-fit cat. Those who have indicated they have these headers are very happy with them. They look like quality pieces out of the box, hope to have them on soon.
