Lt + A.i.r. ???

I am sure this has been covered many times...so i am sorry, but the search doesn't work

does any company make long tubes that are smog freindly with air tubes?

OR how hard would it be to retro fit a pair of long tubes to have air tubes?

also i would prefer 1 5/8" primaries.

No one makes them. I dont know how hard it would be. I would imagine that you would basically have to drill the holes and weld the pipes in and bend them how you wanted. If you want 1 5/8 go with hedman lt headers. They are only a little over 100 bucks too.

It might be possible because there should be one at each primary exhaust port right? If so it might be possible.

what we need is someone with those headers to measure the distance from the center of each primary. then i could measure the factor tubes, and see if it might work.

Well, the distance between the primarys should be the same as the distance between exhaust ports on a set of small block heads if you happen to have a set laying around or something. If not quite a few people have them, but I have hooker lt's myself.

for 100 bucks i might just get a set of those hedmans, and see if the tubes will fit :shrugs:

BTW i woudl get the hookers but they seem to tonly have 1 1/2 and 1 3/4" i would like 1 5/8s for my 305.

The hedmans are supposed to be decent headers. I just wanted the 1 3/4 for my 350, plus in the future I would like to gain even more cubes and go to a 383 or 406.
